New S3 guideline on prostate cancer
News
According to the new guideline on prostate cancer, people with a prostate aged 45 and older are recommended to attend a screening for early detection. After an open conversation, the guideline recommends determining the PSA (prostate-specific antigen) level and no longer includes a digital rectal examination. Depending on the PSA level, the individual risk is determined and a recommendation for early detection and diagnosis will be given. Please book an appointment with us at SeGe for individual counseling on early detection of prostate cancer.
